    Daniel Libeskind : Cosmic Collisions, The Ogden Centre

    Architect Daniel Libeskind talks at Sanquhar Town Hall on 23rd June ahead of the opening of Cosmic Collisions at nearby MERZ. Daniel’s drawings and model based on a spiral configuration drawn from cosmology are exhibited alongside work by Charels Jencks and Rachel Libeskind and models and galaxy making machines interpreted and presented by Carlos Frenk and Noam Libeskind. The exhibition continues alongside a series of talks titled Cosmic Conversations at A’ the Airts in Sanquhar until 10th September. Admission to the exhibition is free.     DAY TRIP FROM EDINBURGH TO LITTLE SPARTA, CRAWICK MULTIVERSE & MERZ GALLERY
    Sunday, 13th August from 9.30am to 6.00pm.

    As part of Edinburgh Art Festival, we are running a unique day trip from Summerhall in Edinburgh to two symbolic artlands, Little Sparta and Crawick Multiverse.
    Little Sparta – the celebrated garden of Ian Hamilton Finlay – is located 25 miles from Edinburgh in a rural setting in the Pentland Hills.
    From there the bus will travel to Sanquhar, Dumfries & Galloway for lunch and an opportunity to see an exhibition Cosmic Collisions: Birth, Re-birth and the Universe at MERZ studio featuring leading thinkers and creators, including architect Daniel Libeskind.

    Then spend the afternoon exploring Crawick Multiverse, a 55 acre land art restoration project designed by Charles Jencks.

    Ticket price: Tickets are priced £45 per person and the charge includes all admissions and return transport from Summerhall, Edinburgh, departing 9.30am and returning approx. 6pm. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or pre-book soup & sandwich lunch for £6.50.

    Note on suitable clothing: This excursion involves walking over rough terrain. Please dress for hill-walking with sturdy shoes. depart and Return to Summerhall.
